The key elements of the Nutrition Facts label (NFL) include:

  • Serving size

  • Servings per container

  • Calories

  • Total fat

  • Saturated fat

  • Trans fat

  • Cholesterol

  • Sodium

  • Total carbohydrate

  • Dietary fiber

  • Sugars

  • Added sugars

  • Protein

  • Vitamin/minerals: Vitamin D,  calcium, iron, and potassium


Depending on the product's nutritional composition and labeling claims, additional nutrients may be required or voluntarily included.
